Tourism has been a business for many years. However, with the rise of transportation technology, tourism started to grow strongly and has become one of world’s fastest-growing sectors. Tourism is a major source of income in many countries. The growth of society and the quality of hotels is driving their development. Hotel manager is one of the most sought-after jobs because there are not enough human resources and applicants don’t have the experience or skills to manage certain situations. It is essential to have the skills and experience to manage a hotel successfully.

I understand that it is essential to have the right mix of skills to be successful in the hospitality business. This refers to the ability of an employee to work well with guests, coworkers and others while completing their job. In reality, I need to be my own career coach. The program will give you experience and help you to build your skills. A successful career is a sign that you are a leader for the future. I know that it’s different to be a leader today than it was 10 years ago. Modern workplaces are constantly evolving with new demands. Leadership and managing go beyond telling my staff to do their jobs. If I were to become a leader in the hospitality industry, I would have to deliver results according to my definition. As a leader in the hospitality industry, I would be responsible for delivering results. It’s not all about effort. Great leaders focus their efforts on the most efficient activities in order to achieve the best results. Personally, my listening skills would be my top priority. I know my guests well and can provide the best service to them. All I do should be focused on my guests’ future and current needs. To think out of the box, and to answer the question: “What are guests looking for?” I must be open to listening to guest and employee needs. Being a good leader also means being able deal with conflict. A great deal of conflict management is essential for effective collaboration with others. Conflict is inevitable in the workplace. Conflict cannot be considered counterproductive. I will need to be able to manage conflict and encourage guests and employees alike. I plan on working in hospitality to achieve the goals I set out. The industry’s nature is international and global so I would like to share what I know. It is clear that I will need to work in various roles in the industry. I could be front desk agent, housekeeper, maintenance or event planner. Also, it would be a great way to get to know the policies and cultures of other countries. In other words, I would seek out more challenging work to grow and learn internally. And to keep me from getting comfortable, A strong leader is possible when I’m well prepared. This course is designed to prepare students to be future leaders in the hospitality industry. The chapter discusses what students should do. Students will be able to enter the workforce after graduation with the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities.
